Dear family and friends 31 August 2009
It is really wonderful to work for Jesus when He is doing so much for the people and children that we work with and for. On Thursday we by his grace and the help of Hatfield's Impact Community Mobilization group were able to give three pairs of running shoes to children. These children were identified by Change a Nation. The one young girl Jade has an amazing gift and future in athletics. (According to Kobus Schoeman who was one of South Africa's 1994 Olympic team members and represented our country in professional athletics for 6 years running the 110m hurdles. Kobus is now a fulltime coach and coach some of the best up and coming athletes in South Africa.) Kobus agreed to coach her for free after Hannes took her to him to be tested. She will be running her first race of the season on Saturday at Pildage stadium and will participate in the 100m, 200m and 400m races. Please pray for her.

On Saturday the 29th we also visited David and Tessa Naudé who where two of the first volunteers to join Change a Nation in Hartbeespoort on their 2nd sports day held in Majakaneg outside Mooinooi in the North West province. Round about 125 players and their volunteer life skills coaches attended as well as n number of the youth from the Hartbeespoort A.O.G. this was amazing to see how they used Change a Nation to reach out to their communities. Tessa had an amazing programme of the little one as David directed the soccer games and outreach to the older children with great professionalism. Professional people like them that are willing to give of their time are able to make a change in this country.
You might say ‘WOW’ how can I get involved? Well it is easy to get involved. First there is practical involvement. This means that you get involved as a volunteer and you start to work with the children in your community. The Second way is by praying for us and sending words of encouragement to help us carry on. And the last way is by giving us financial support on a once of or monthly basis to buy equipment and to cover the running costs of this God given ministry.
